PARLIAMENT SPEAKER CONGRATULATES JOURNALISTS WHO DO THEIR WORK WITH DIGNITY ON THE OCCASION OF THE HOLIDAY

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu congratulated on International Press Freedom Day the journalists ‘who do their work fairly, honorably and inform the citizens of the Republic of Moldova”. According to INFOTAG, Grosu wrote about it on his facebook page, saying that he starts every day, like tens of thousands of people, with reading the press.

“It is imperative that people are properly informed. This is why we support your efforts to be properly informed, efforts to fight lies and propaganda,” the speaker said, expressing confidence that by joint efforts it will be possible to move towards a free, peaceful, rich - European world.”

Prime Minister Dorin Recean also addressed words of gratitude to journalists, noting that he expressed support for “those who bring the truth into our homes.”

“Truth cannot be suppressed! Our unity in defending this fundamental value is essential for democracy in Moldova. I call on all citizens and state institutions to continue supporting and defending a free, independent press,” Recean wrote on social media.
