ANSA IDENTIFIED BATCH OF BANANAS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH IN RETAIL CHAIN AND IS RECALLING IT

03 may, 2024

As part of a program to control the content of nitrates and pesticide residues in products, experts from the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) have identified a batch of bananas from Ecuador, which exceeded the maximum permissible level of residues of hazardous substances. In this regard, the Agency ordered the urgent seizure of 23 tons of bananas imported by the company FRUCT EXPERT - PLUS, which were sold in Linella and Fidesco stores, among others, from April 29 to May 2. People who purchased these products are urged not to consume them. They also have the right to return them to the store where they were purchased (based on the receipt).
